Another beautiful recreation area sitting right on the shores of Lake Erie, East Harbor State Park boasts the largest family campground in any Ohio State Park, as well as over 1,800 acres of wetlands, wildlife preservation areas, hiking trails, and swimming beaches. Established in 1947, this nature reserve is located just 55 miles west of the Avon city center and can be reached in a little under one hour by car via route OH-2.
